Trip fuel cost is distance, efficiency, and price:
Litres needed = Distance (km) ÷ Mileage (km per litre)
Fuel cost = Litres × Price per litre
Make the estimate realistic
- Use real average mileage (city vs highway differ a lot).
- Add 10% buffer for detours, traffic, and AC load on hills.
- Update fuel price on the day you travel.
