About this calculator

Paint estimates fail when people forget ceilings, deduct nothing for doors, or ignore a second coat on new plaster. This calculator uses wall (and optional ceiling) area, coats, and a coverage rate from the tin you will buy.

Asian Paints, Berger and local emulsions print different m² per litre on smooth putty vs cement plaster. Use the label, not a generic 10 m²/L. Round up to the next tin size sold in Nepal so colour batch stays consistent.

Paintable area = wall area − door/window area. Litres = (paintable area × coats) ÷ coverage per litre. Default coverage 10 m²/L and 2 coats — use the tin’s stated coverage if different.
