About this calculator

Where the steel calculator is a quick kg from diameter, this rebar tool is aimed at taking off a bar list (counts, lengths, diameters) closer to a simplified BBS.

It still is not a licensed structural design. Use the engineer’s schedule when they conflict. Pair with concrete volume so kg/m³ sits in a believable band for the member type.

Frequently Asked Questions

kg/m = d²/162 (d in mm), total weight = kg/m × bar length (m) × number of bars. Same IS-style unit weight as the steel calculator.
Matches a common Nepal stock length. Change diameter for 8/10/16/20 mm as drawn.
