About this calculator

Licence fee schedules in Nepal change with vehicle category (two-wheeler, four-wheeler, professional) and with trial vs smart-licence campaigns. This calculator applies the fee table encoded in the handler so you can budget before a visit to the transport office.

Always match the amount on the latest official notice — WhatsApp forwards lag reality. Medical, trial, and reprint fees may be extra. This does not book a trial slot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard/prior schedule: A/K motorcycle NPR 1,500; B car/jeep/van NPR 2,000; A+B NPR 3,500; heavy/commercial indicative NPR 2,500. Doubled provincial schedule (FY 2083/84 bills in several provinces): 3,000 / 4,000 / 7,000 / 5,000 respectively. Confirm at your Transport Management Office — fees are provincial.
The handler applies the same category base to both under current DOTM-style practice as commented. Late fines attach to that base.
After the 90-day grace, about 100% of the renewal fee per year late, illustratively capped at 5 years (500%). Licenses expired more than 5 years often cannot be renewed — the breakdown says so.
Optional checkbox, default on. Uncheck if your office does not charge that line.
It is an estimate from the table we encoded (historical ~1,500/2,000 and doubled provincial variants). The TMO notice wins if they differ.
Not booked here. Trial, biometric and reprint campaigns can add lines not in this form.
Marked indicative. Commercial categories vary — do not treat NPR 2,500/5,000 as a national gazette reprint.
No. Pay only at authorised transport counters / official portals.
There is no province dropdown. Pick standard vs doubled to match the bill your province published, then verify locally.
No late fine. Grace-period arithmetic is not modelled day-by-day, only whole years after grace as described.
