About this calculator
The salary tax calculator is a two-table estimator: pick Nepal FY 2083/84 (the same 1%–29% personal shape used on our dedicated Nepal income-tax tool) or a generic educational progression. Use Nepal mode when you are modelling a Kathmandu payroll; use generic mode only when you are teaching how slabs work across countries.
Enter monthly or annual pay, then read effective vs marginal rate. A raise that “feels” heavily taxed often only pushes the top slice into the next band — income already in lower bands stays at lower rates. Do not confuse this with Nepal VAT, TDS on contracts, or NEPSE capital-gains rules.
If you need SSF waiver UX and Nepal-only labelling, prefer the Nepal Income Tax Calculator. Confirm IRD treatment before you sign a contract or contest a payroll slip.
