About this calculator

Nepal IPOs are often oversubscribed. This calculator turns applications, offer size and your unit request into a rough allotment picture so you can see how lottery-style rationing shrinks a full application. It is probablilty education, not a guarantee from SEBON or the issue manager.

Minimum units, qualified vs ordinary lots, and employee quotas change real outcomes. Always read the prospectus. Do not treat a 0.12 implied ratio as “I will get 12%.”

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Nepal IPOs use issue-manager / CDS lottery rules, minimum kits and quotas. This page is a proportional model: probability ≈ kits available ÷ valid applicants (capped at 100%), expected kits = (kits ÷ applicants) × kits you applied for.
Valid applicants (or applications, as you entered) ÷ kits available. Greater than 1 means more demand than supply in this toy model.
Prospectus lot, cap and ordinary-vs-qualified rules matter more than inflating units in this ratio. Read the offer document.
It estimates amount blocked (kits × price) and expected allotment value. Price is optional arithmetic, not a listing gain forecast.
Use whichever number the issue manager published for the allotment you are modelling. Mixing demat accounts with total forms skews the ratio.
Not modelled. This is a single-pool proportion.
Yes — it is a statistical mean, not a round lot CDS will credit. Allotment is whole kits via lottery.
Not implemented. If the prospectus guarantees a minimum when oversubscribed, this estimate can understate small applications.
Educational only. Allotment letters are authoritative.
The same proportional sketch applies if you enter that issue’s kits and applicants. Still not a prediction.
